Dr. Vannevar Bush, as the director of the Office of Scientific Research and Development, discussed that men of science should direct their researches on the perfection of the instruments that they developed when the peace came.Man's use of science brought us many differences and newness in our life .For example ;increased security,improved food ,improved health and easy communication.
There are many researches on the basis of improving life.In this aspects, publication of researches are very important,as in Mendel's example.If we do not reach the few who will extend and take the researches to a step further the attaintments of men of science will lost. In this aspect, record has very important place in science.
Dr.Bush guessed some tecnological developments in science for humankind. These developments brought many useful devices. Here a question comes into mind.Does th technological development arise from the progressing knowledge about science or the needs of human? Men of science conduct their researches accordance with the needs of people or they made the experiments for the science(curiosity)and then they make in use their findindgs for the human being as technological devices. I think , both of them are true. Sometimes progressing knowledge in science is for human needs sometimes ıt is just for scientific reasons.
Here at this point we ,as the prospective teachers, should use the technological devices for increasing students ' curiosity to the tecnology. And we should also give the scientific background of this tecnology a little bit according to their intelligence levels.We as teachers should explain the laws and theories in science with the daily life usage and how the laws are used in common used technological devices.
